If desired, you can override LOOT's optimization to make manual tweaks to your load order yourself (this shouldn't be necessary for the mods in this list).
This program automatically reorganizes your load order to make it as stable as possible. A great tool to pair with your mod manager is the Load Order Optimization Tool, or LOOT.
This will allow New Vegas to read and accept any texture mods you install (we'll get to those later). Then go to Settings > Workarounds > BSA Redirection and toggle it. After installing it, log in, and select New Vegas as the game you're modding. I highly recommend Vortex since it has a great UI and is very easy to use. These tools automatically handle most mods' installation, so you don't have to dig around in-game files - simply drag-and-drop compressed mod files, and the mod manager will do the rest. The first thing you need is a Nexus Mods account, the website where most mods are posted.
YUP - NPC Fixes (Base Game + All DLC).VPN Deals: Lifetime license for $16, monthly plans at $1 & more Please help me I don't know what I'm doing wrong I made sure archive invalidation is on I tried reinstalling everything and that doesn't work I use Vortex mod manager.Ĭlassic DKS-501 Sniper Rifle Replacer.espĬlassic Fallout Inspired Gatling Laser.esp So I have been modding New Vegas for a few years now and I had no problems with texture mods not working I installed a lot of mods that made my game unstable so I uninstalled all my mods and New Vegas and reinstalled it on a different hard drive the game was way more unstable even when I had only like 20 mods most of the time loading a save would freeze my game so I had to install the better saves mod so that I didn't have to manually save every five seconds and so that I could load several saves from around the same time and have at least 1 work but a lot of mods just didn't work mostly retexture mods for armor like I used CR-HD it only retextured the ranger helmet I reinstalled the mod several times didn't work I tried other ranger armor retextures and they all had the same issue I installed T-51b and T-45d full retexures by Strider5 and I'm having a similar issue with only certain things being retextured only the gloves are being retextured I have tried reinstalling the mod several times but to no avail I thought that me using a different hard drive could be the problem because the first drive I had NV installed on was a different format exFAT while the new drive is NTFS I reinstalled NV on the original drive and reinstalled all my mods because they broke after moving them to a different drive and still same issues different drive.
